All children’s profiles and data are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian who holds the account. A parent or guardian must provide verifiable consent before any child data is stored on our platform.

Educational Records (FERPA Compliance)

We treat children’s educational records , including learning progress, assessments, attendance logs, and portfolio artifacts , as confidential education records consistent with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We do not share educational records with third parties except as directed by the parent or guardian, or as required by law. Parents retain full control over their children’s educational data and may export or delete it at any time.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication data provided via Google OAuth when you create an account.
• Children’s Profiles: Names, ages, and grade levels of children added by a parent or guardian.
• Learning Progress: Curriculum completion data, daily lesson activity, and milestone tracking.
• Attendance Records: Daily attendance logs maintained by the parent or guardian.
• Assessment Data: Scores, answers, and performance on curriculum assessments.
• Portfolio Artifacts: Uploaded work samples, photos, and documents stored in the learning portfolio.
• Payment Information: Subscription and Give More contribution payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
• Give More Program Data: Contribution amounts, selected mission partners, and giving history.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, device type, browser type, and IP address for analytics and security.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party service providers as necessary to operate the Service:

• Stripe: Processes subscription payments and Give More contributions. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
• Google: Provides OAuth authentication. Google receives only the authentication data necessary to verify your identity.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to comply with a judicial proceeding or legal process.

Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and session tokens to authenticate your account and maintain your login state via NextAuth. These are essential cookies required for the Service to function. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from using the Service.

Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Our infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with industry-standard protections including HTTPS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored data, and access controls limiting who can access personal information. While no system is 100% secure, we employ commercially reasonable measures to protect your data.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data , including children’s profiles, educational records, and giving history , at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Give More Program

The Give More program allows subscribers to make voluntary contributions to support mission partners. Contributions are processed by Stripe and managed by Play4Growth, Inc. We store your giving history, selected partners, and contribution amounts to provide giving dashboards and impact reports. This data is not shared with third parties beyond Stripe for payment processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
